About this NJ real estate practice exam
How this practice test is built
Every full exam follows the PSI content outline. You get 30 New Jersey law questions, then the 80 national questions are split by each area's share of the outline, so contracts and agency come up most and property management least.
Of the New Jersey questions, 22 of 30 on the real exam come from one area: the statutes and rules that govern licensees. That is escrow, attorney review, the Consumer Information Statement, advertising and commissions, and it is where national-only prep leaves people short.

Read the explanation for the ones you got right too. A lucky guess and a solid answer look the same on a score.
- 3
Fix your weakest topics
Your result lists the topics that cost you the most points. Work those in the study guide, with its quiz and flashcards.
- 4
Retest on fresh questions
Take another full exam a few days later. You want to clear 70% with room to spare, more than once, before you book PSI.
Short on time? The 20-question readiness check shows your weakest areas in a few minutes, and the math hub has worked examples for every formula on the exam.
